Arenaways’s Cuneo-Saluzzo-Savigliano rail service has had a good start in terms of demand. In its first ten days of operation, 2,200 passengers have been transported.
Of these, 50% purchased their tickets online, and the rest on board or via mobile applications.
Arenaways is a new private Italian operator, although it is majority-owned by the Spanish capital. The public operator Renfe owns 33% of the company, while the Madrid-based investment fund Serena Industrial Partners owns another 33%.
During the last 7 days, 132 journeys have been made, with a 99% punctuality rate. Coordination with other rail services, waiting for delayed connections to ensure that passengers reach their destination.
The real-time information system has been well received, surpassing 250 subscribers on WhatsApp in just two days.
Matteo Arena, general manager, expressed his satisfaction with the territory’s positive response and mentioned initiatives such as bicycle transport and collaborations with local groups.
Arenaways seeks to continuously improve the service, adapting to citizens’ suggestions and developing projects with local entities to offer an increasingly personalised travel experience.
