Rail Europe, the train ticketing platform, and iryo have announced at ITB Berlin a partnership that will allow booking tickets of the high-speed operator through the platform.
Thanks to the integration, which will become a reality from 15 April, Rail Europe will offer tickets from all three regular passenger train operators. Users of the site will therefore be able to compare all available timetables and prices for a journey before they travel.
“We are excited about the future of rail travel in Spain thanks to this key partnership with iryo,” said Björn Bender, CEO and Executive Chairman of Rail Europe. “By integrating iryo’s extensive network into our platform, we are enabling travellers to explore Spain’s rich history, culture and landscapes with unprecedented ease.”
“We are delighted to join forces with Rail Europe to bring the future of rail travel to passengers wishing to explore Spain,” celebrated Simone Gorini, CEO and Managing Director of iryo.
With this move, there are now four platforms that allow you to buy tickets for all regular trains in Spain. Apart from Rail Europe, Omio, Trainline and Trenes.com already offer this possibility.
