Last week, the Spanish Renfe group completed the renewal of its Management Committee, one of the first steps in the implementation of the Renfe28 management and organisation model.
Presented by the company’s president, Raül Blanco, on 12 January, this new model aims to make the group’s management more efficient and improve its competitiveness. It is Renfe’s business response to the arrival of competition in regular trains from Ouigo (SNCF) and Iryo (Trenitalia, Globalvia and Air Nostrum investors).
To guarantee the continuity of plans, projects and strategy, Raül Blanco has opted for an orderly transition. In this way, the handovers have taken place gradually since January and the new managers have had the training and support of the outgoing ones.
In addition to the change in the Management Committee, Renfe has changed its corporate headquarters to Avenida de la Ciudad de Barcelona, 8, near Madrid’s Atocha station.
This is how Renfe’s Management Committee is now composed
