The Spanish Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano, has presented to the Mayor of Tudela, Alejandro Toquero, a project to build a new intermodal station in the current location, in the town centre, instead of on the outskirts.
The proposal includes a new building, an underground car park and a bypass so that trains that do not stop in Tudela do not pass through the town centre.
With a minimum investment of 30 million euros, the new station will be transformed into a high-speed and regional node, improving connectivity and sustainable mobility in the region.
The project aims to ensure permeability between the two sides of the station and to promote coexistence in the municipality.
Santano has expressed his willingness to maintain a constant dialogue with the City Council to achieve the greatest possible consensus and the best solution for the inhabitants of Tudela and the region. This initiative promises to make Tudela a success story in interconnectivity between different means of transport, benefiting both the city and the region.
