Hitachi Rail has been selected by Adif to carry out a crucial part of the railway integration project in Valencia.
The company will be responsible for upgrading the signalling systems and equipment in the so-called Access Canal, which includes the integration of the access tracks to València Nord and València Joaquín Sorolla stations, as well as the extension of the latter.
Carlos Mezquita, general manager of Transport for Hitachi Rail in Spain, emphasises that the project will significantly improve passenger comfort and have a positive impact on the environment.
This award follows Hitachi Rail’s other contracts with Adif to implement advanced signalling technology in projects such as the Madrid Chamartín Clara Campoamor station and the Madrid-Seville High Speed Line renovation.
